Funding & insurance — you may pay less
Most buyers don't pay full price for mobility equipment. Common funding paths:
- Private insurance / extended health — many plans reimburse with a prescription
- Ontario ADP — 75% of approved cost for eligible chairs, scooters & manual wheelchairs
- WSIB — workplace-injury equipment, usually 100% covered
- Veterans Affairs Canada — covered through VAC benefits
- Disability Tax Credit — federal tax credit (up to ~$1,500/yr)
- Charitable — Easter Seals, March of Dimes, Lions Club
