ADP Reimbursement — Ontario

The Ontario Assistive Devices Program reimburses up to 75% of the approved cost on a wide range of mobility equipment for eligible Ontario residents.

Stridewell doesn't process ADP for you. We sell the equipment, give you an ADP-formatted invoice, and point you at the right people to handle the paperwork. The application stays between you, your authorizer, and the Ontario government.

The process

  1. See an authorizer — an OT or PT registered with ADP who prescribes the device and files the application.
  2. Buy the equipment — we hand you the invoice ADP needs.
  3. Submit for reimbursement — up to 75% comes back to you (or in some cases, the funding is applied at point of authorization).

What's typically ADP-eligible

  • Manual wheelchairs
  • Power wheelchairs & scooters
  • Some specialty seating & positioning devices
  • Certain ambulation aids when prescribed for long-term need

Walkers, rollators, basic bath safety, and small daily-living aids generally are NOT covered by ADP — though private insurance often reimburses them with a prescription.
